Meaning :
I bow to that enlightened Guru (Master) who is bliss in the form of Brahman, ultimate happiness, the abode of pure knowledge, who is beyond all dualities, space-like, whose focus is only on the Divine, unique, eternal, pure and steady, who is the witness consciousness in all created beings, who is beyond all mind modifications and beyond the three Gunas.
What is yoga?
The word yoga is obtained from the Sanskrit root ‘yuj’ meaning “to bind, join or attach”. It also means union or communion.
The system of yoga is so called because it enables one to unite body, mind and consciousness.
Yoga is one of the six traditional systems of Indian Philosophy. Yoga is a way of life. It is a practice that helps for the total development of one’s own life. It is a complete and practical method to purify our mind. To reach this peaceful state of mind, there is no need to keep distance from the normal way of life or renounce one’s daily activities. Yoga is an art which has no religion.
Tips for your yoga practice...
When you practice yogaasanas (postures), the most essential thing is that you breathe properly and pay attention to all the present sensations, no matter how stiff or flexible your body is.
Strength and flexibility eventually come as by-products of a regular practice, but our real focus is: accepting the present moment with an open heart, and thus enjoying life to the full!
